For Undergraduate Student

1. The undergraduate program is designed to emphasis the basic training in mathematics and to develop the logical and analytical ability.
2. Each course is accompanied with a practice class conducted by a teaching assistant.
3. We provide the scientific computation and engineering math program consisting of several theoretical courses related to numerical analysis and joint projects with science, engineering or finance.

For Graduate Student

1. The graduate program focuses on applying the mathematical theory to control system, financial engi-neering, scientific computation, and bioinformatics.
2. System analysis and scientific computing laboratories provide facilities for experiment and studies im-plement the ideas of solving applied problems.

Employment and Advanced Study

Our earlier graduates usually left the country for advanced study or switched their major into com-puter science. Many recent graduates have become teachers, computer scientists, or have entered domestic graduate schools. To face even stiffer competition in the future, students can select a minor department, double major, or apply to various graduate schools: pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, business administration, materials management, financial computation, computer science, etc. Furthermore, Tunghai has departments of Chinese, Japanese, and foreign languages, in which students can improve their language ability and communication skills, and leadership.
